The unique photo shoot for Vogue Russia November issue took place at Legend of Tsvetnoy mixed-use complex. For the first time ever the city fashion and architecture were united in one fashion product, the joint creative project by Vogue and the acknowledged master of contemporary architectural photography Mikhail Rozanov.

The project reveals the city fashion through the lens of ultramodern architecture, enabling to see the two key areas of contemporary art in the integrated fashion context. This unique approach demanded the exceptional choice of photographer — the Moscow guru of architectural photography, making his first-ever fashion project.

Mikhail Rozanov’s recognizable style is well known by contemporary photography lovers. In his works, Rozanov captures the architectural images, emphasizing the buildings’ plastic, as constructivism artists did in 1920s. The classic monumental developments, Moscow avant-garde and art-deco, Brezhnev-era  functionalism… In various years, all these architectural styles attracted Rozanov’s close attention. In latest years, the photograph’s camera lens reflects the mirror surfaces of ultramodern buildings. In particular, in collaboration with Capital Group a number of unique images were created within the company’s headliners Capital City, Legend of Tsvetnoy, Imperial House and others.

Speaking about the project, Mikhail Rozanov said: “The offer I received from Vogue became a certain challenge for me. It is the first attempt to add the city fashion into the architectural context that is shown through Legend of Tsvetnoy, one of the most fashionable buildings of the city. I am very happy with the results. I think we managed to reflect the interconnections that unite the big city’s contemporary art, and the single direction for the development followed by fashion trends both in apparel and architecture.”
